Our Toddler Program begins around age two years. This year is part of the "Year of the Unconscious Learner" that Montessori refers to as the age they literally absorb everything by being around it.
HMA toddlers learn to serve themselves-independently; sort recycling; develop language growth in six to seven month's time.
You wouldn't believe how hard it is to keep the corn in the spoon.
Sometimes toddler work is just too hard.
And sometimes it's not.
Sometimes we need to learn to put somebody ELSE to sleep.
Language is the dominant academic skill for this age in development. They are so ready to learn the names of everything: insects, furniture, foods and the sounds of their language. They organize; they learn to work (or to play with a purpose); they grasp whatever is around. Thus, the need on the school's part is to furnish an exciting, inviting environment.
